HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY
I would just like to wish all my American Friends a Happy Fourth of July. We are visiting my daughter and her family for the weekend, I am from Canada. Wow the fireworks sure go on for a long time here. It is 2am here and they are still going off. Back home they would be stopped at 11.00 p.m. What a difference. But its great to hear them and the grandkids sure think their fun and a blast. I love fireworks and always took our kids to see them when they were small. Now it's their turn to take their kids. No one is too young or too old to be mesmerized by fireworks, they are so colourful and spectacular to watch. The ooohs and awwws of the crowd as they see and listen for the loud bang makes for a fun time. Especially watching the kids react, whether they are clapping their hands gleefully, or hiding under their blanket because they are scared of the noise. It's something our kids will never forget.
I asked my little granddaughter Lyric who is 4 if she remembered what grandma said to her about what the loud noises made from the thunder was, and she said " yes grandma you told me that it was the angels bowling up in heaven, so I'm not scared." I said thats right so you aren't scared from the noise the firecrackers make are you? She said that it didn't scare her either. Little things like this will be ever implanted into Lyric's mind and stay with her forever, to pass on to her own kids one day. So I am glad that we came here to your country on your most favourite time of the year to help you celebrate your Independence Day. I hope you all enjoyed your day and many days to come...

Hope you had a great July 4th!
Sounds like you had fun with the kids.
Oh, we love our fireworks. Too much, maybe.
Thank you so much for your visits to both of my blogs. Come by any time, the door is always open and there is usually coffee in the pot.
I have so enjoyed my visit here. What a lovely pond your son made for you. And you have two very precious grandchildren.
